JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with a growing real estate and construction consulting firm, in the search for a Senior Accountant. This is a hands-on, high-impact role supporting a dynamic portfolio of real estate entities and construction projects, including large-scale developments and ongoing property management operations.

 

This position will serve as the day-to-day accounting lead, owning the financial operations across numerous LLCs and EINs, supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and due diligence. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, contractor-style environment and thrives in a high-volume, multi-entity setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Own full-cycle accounting for multiple real estate and construction entities, including A/P, A/R, invoicing, cash management, and reconciliations
  • Manage high-volume invoicing, including detailed monthly project billings with extensive supporting documentation
  • Perform monthly and year-end close across numerous LLCs and EINs, coordinating with the Controller and an external CPA firm
  • Reconcile multiple credit cards used by field teams and property managers
  • Oversee rent collections, leasing activity, and property-level financial tracking for residential and commercial assets
  • Monitor utility expenses and operating costs across the portfolio
  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and proformas for properties and construction projects
  • Support leadership with cash requirements, financial modeling, and acquisition analysis
  • Assist with due diligence and financial setup for new property and project acquisitions
  • Track project budgets, contractor costs, and insurance compliance to ensure projects stay on budget

Payroll, HR & Administrative Support

  • Payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Support basic HR functions including onboarding, payroll documentation, and benefits coordination

Collaboration & Culture

  • Work closely with ownership and operations leadership, with significant autonomy
  • Interact regularly with contractors, property managers, and field staff in a construction-style office environment
  • Act as a financial resource for operational teams while maintaining strong internal controls

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or property management
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, multi-entity accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Advanced QuickBooks experience required
  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities independently
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on, and sometimes tough construction office culture
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities


Salary Range

·        $70-85k
